The view of the Bay from Oldfield's studio perched on the eastern slopes of Telegraph Hill. Its depiction of a peaceful, working port seems to belie the turmoil of the labor strife ongoing. The two small girls in the lower right are his daughters, Rhoda and Jayne. Note that Treasure Island and the Bay Bridge don't exist; ferries ply the Bay to Oakland and the Campanile at UC Berkeley is clearly visible. Oil on canvas.
